Financial Planner

Hassell Wealth Management is seeking a Financial Planner to join our growing team. Based in Houma, Louisiana, our Registered Investment Advisory firm has been serving the Gulf Coast since 2006, and we plan to be here for the long term. We put our relationships with clients front and center and are dedicated to our fiduciary obligation to always put clients first. Our goal is to provide clarity, strategy, and accountability to our clients' financial lives, and we need someone who shares our vision with a strong desire to succeed as a financial planner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting client meetings to gather information, understand client objectives, summarize discussions, create client-facing letters, and coordinate with appropriate parties to see action items through completion

  • Analyzing financial information and developing personalized financial plans, including cash flow, retirement planning, estate planning, education planning, and tax planning

  • Implementing investment and financial strategies in line with clients' goals

  • Monitoring and reviewing client portfolios, and adjusting as necessary

  • Providing ongoing financial education and guidance to clients

  • Adhering to fiduciary standards and acting in the best interests of clients

  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, understanding their unique financial needs, wants, goals, and values

  • Staying abreast of industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in financial planning

  • Collaborating with other professionals such as attorneys, accountants, and insurance specialists to provide holistic financial advice

  • Demonstrating Wealth Plan software to prospects and current clients

  • Collaborating with senior advisors to onboard new client relationships and ultimately provide ongoing services to a select client base

  • Maintaining proficiency in financial planning technology (eMoney, Salesforce, Holistiplan, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Three to five years of financial planning and/or investment advisory experience preferred

  • Active Series 65 or 66 certification

  • Clean U-4 and U-5 history

  • CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification preferred, or commitment to pursue and obtain CFP® certification within two years of employment
