Shelley Ferro, CFP®

Ms. Ferro is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans, where she majored in finance and holds the prestigious CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. She believes in using a comprehensive financial planning module in working with her clients.
Ms. Ferro has been in the financial services profession for over 25 years and has provided financial planning and investment advisory services to families and individuals interested in working with an objective, credentialed advisor.
Ms. Ferro began her career as a financial advisor working for some of the largest investment advisory firms in the industry. She worked with clients to set up proper asset allocations in their portfolios and developed financial plans for her clients. Ms. Ferro also advised corporate clients on retirement plan solutions for their employees and worked with individual employees to develop an asset allocation strategy inside their employer’s retirement plan. After gaining industry experience, Ms. Ferro started a comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory firm, which she ran for 18 years. Her firm focused on helping families and individuals with their financial planning and investment advisory needs.
In 2024, she joined forces with Hassell Wealth Management to expand capabilities and continue serving clients with a team-based approach.
Ms. Ferro has served in numerous leadership positions both in and outside the financial services industry.
In 2008, she was appointed by Governor Bobby Jindal to serve on the Board of Directors of the Louisiana Economic Development Corporation and encourage job growth in the state of Louisiana. Ms. Ferro served a four-year board term.
Ms. Ferro is a Past President of the Greater New Orleans Financial Planning Association and the local chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Ms. Ferro has been an active volunteer and has a history of giving back to the community. She has served on the board of several nonprofit organizations and is a past board member and officer of the Rotary Club of Metairie.
Ms. Ferro is Vice President of the Bonnabel Civic Association.
Ms. Ferro enjoys an active lifestyle of travel, healthy living, and nature photography. She is an advocate of rescue animals, and her two rescues, Oreo (dog) and Emmy (cat), are treated like royalty.
