Entry-Level Financial Planner

Hassell Wealth Management is looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Financial Planner. This is an exciting opportunity to kick-start your career in the financial planning industry and gain valuable experience at our Registered Investment Advisory firm based in Houma, Louisiana. We are committed to providing comprehensive financial guidance to our clients and are seeking a motivated individual who is passionate about learning and developing their skills as a financial planner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting senior advisors in conducting client meetings, gathering information, drafting client-facing letters, and coordinating with clients and appropriate third parties to see action items through completion

  • Adhering to fiduciary standards and acting in the best interests of clients

  • Learning to analyze financial information and develop personalized financial plans, including cash flow, retirement planning, estate planning, education planning, and tax planning

  • Supporting the implementation of investment and financial strategies aligned with clients' goals

  • Assisting in monitoring and reviewing client portfolios, and adjusting as necessary

  • Providing support in delivering ongoing financial education and guidance to clients

  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients and other industry professionals

  • Staying informed about industry trends, new regulations, and best practices in financial planning

  • Collaborating with senior advisors to onboard new client relationships and provide ongoing services

  • Training and mastery of all firm technology (eMoney, Salesforce, Holistiplan, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) and maintaining proficiency

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Strong passion for financial planning and a desire to pursue a career in the industry

  • Experience in a nontraditional financial advisory career path, such as accounting, law, teaching, counseling, etc., is welcomed

  • Series 65 or 66 certification is a plus, but not required

  • Clean U-4 and U-5 history

  • Strong commitment to obtaining the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® (CFP®) certification within 24 months of employment
